Both formats install per-user, no administrator rights required.
The Windows build is in progress. Download buttons will go live right after release.
.exe installer
RecommendedInstalls into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Speech Dock, creates Start menu shortcuts and an uninstaller entry in «Add or remove programs».

Local processing depends on memory, disk and first-run setup. A GPU is optional, but supported accelerators may reduce processing delay.

SmartScreen: allow the app to run
The installer is not yet signed with an Authenticode certificate — on first launch Windows SmartScreen may show a «Windows protected your PC» warning.
- Click «More info»
- Click «Run anyway»
After the first successful launch the warning no longer appears for this file.
GPU acceleration
Detected automatically on first launch:
- NVIDIA — CUDA (requires drivers with CUDA 13.x runtime support)
- AMD / Intel — DirectML (
DirectML.dll, a system component on Windows 10 1903+) - No GPU — CPU (our STT engine works fine without an accelerator)
Troubleshooting
The native libraries are built with MSVC and require the VC++ Redistributable 2015-2022 x64. Onboarding offers to install it automatically, or install it manually:
winget install Microsoft.VCRedist.2015+.x64See the SmartScreen section above — click «More info» → «Run anyway». Code signing is on the backlog.
Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. NVIDIA needs the CUDA 13.x runtime bundled with the driver; AMD/Intel rely on the system DirectML.dll (Windows 10 1903+).
The overlay uses a topmost window, which is hidden by exclusive-fullscreen apps (some games, for example). In borderless-windowed mode the overlay stays visible.
