Performance
Speech Dock runs on a wide range of devices — from light laptops without a dedicated graphics card to powerful desktops. The app detects your computer's capabilities and picks sensible defaults on its own.
What affects speed
- Graphics card. If your computer has a dedicated graphics accelerator, recognition and processing are noticeably faster. On devices without one, the app runs on the processor — slower, but with no loss of features.
- RAM and video memory. The more memory available, the more the app can keep ready to respond faster.
What you can configure
- How the app holds resources. On powerful devices it's convenient to keep everything loaded for instant response. On weaker ones, free resources between uses so the system isn't strained.
- Balance of speed and load. If the app noticeably strains your laptop or drains the battery, choose a lighter mode in the settings.
Recommendations
- Powerful desktop with a graphics card — keep the defaults: everything loaded, maximum responsiveness.
- Laptop without a dedicated graphics card — choose the economical mode to reduce load and battery drain.
- If response feels slow — close heavy apps that take up memory and the graphics card.
